Go on a StoryWalk! Read along the trail

Mister Karner Blue by Natasha Permaul

Learning is fun while discovering one of the most beautiful ecosystems in the world! The book featured in this StoryWalk® is Mister Karner Blue, a book written by a local student in the Guilderland School District. We hope you will enjoy reading this story about an endangered species found in the Albany Pine Bush.

Perfect for a StoryWalk® during Lupine Fest!

Read a book in a whole new way

The StoryWalk® will be set up along part of the Karner Barrens blue trail located behind the Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center.  A StoryWalk® is a great way to explore the trails. It is also an exciting and different way to read a book.

A StoryWalk® is a fun, educational activity that showcases the pages of a children's book along a popular walking route.Walk, jump or skip from page to page as you read along the trail.

The StoryWalk® Project was originally created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg Hubbard Library.

A great activity for young kids!

This StoryWalk® will be on display through June 30, 2022. It will be set up along part of the Karner Barrens blue trail located behind the Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center at 195 New Karner Road in Albany.
