This online tutorial is at 7pm on May 8th. After you register you will receive an email with a link to the program. Please check your SPAM folder.

Suitable for adults, and tweens and teens with a parent or gaurdian. Children under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or gaurdian during the training session and during all surveys. Surveys are conducted after dark.

This Event: We will learn about the Eastern whip-poor-will, a bird whose incessant song used to keep people awake at night, and how you can help us monitor them in the preserve.

The Survey: Volunteers will listen for and record the characteristic call of the Eastern whip-poor-will under full moons. Surveys will be conducted independently five times from May 10th to June 10th on a portion of the APBP trail system at night.

All volunteers are required to complete volunteer forms prior to volunteering with the preserve. These forms can be completed online, and information will be provided upon your registration.
